Jewel connecting OV configuration?

soprano

Recommended Posts

We're booked in 2 connecting oceanview cabins on the Jewel, and from looking at the layout of the cabins, it would seem necessary to eliminate either the desk or vanity in each cabin to accomodate a door between the two. Does anyone who has stayed in one of these cabins remember how the layout is different from a standard oceanview? Thanks!

We did not have connecting rooms ,but side by side rooms, and the rooms were mirror images of each other. We were in 5026/5028. If the mirror images continued on each side there could be a small door between the bed and the tv stand. The ladder to the top bunk seemed to be in this area when the bunk was up, but could easily have been stored elsewhere.:)

We just returned from an Alaska cruise on the Star, and had connecting balcony rooms, and realized that you need room for not only the door opening, but the door itself. Does that make sense? So when the doors are open, the door makes a 180 degree arch and is against the wall next to the opening...so you really need a space twice as wide as the door.
