crop til ya drop Posted July 15, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2006 I was looking though my RCI booklet & it had a list of suggested tips. The people it listed to tip were Dining Room Waiter, Stateroom attendant, Assistant Waiter, & Headwaiter. Who else should I tip & how much? negc Posted July 15, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2006 If you order room service, you should give a dollar or two to the attendant who delivers your food, and if you make use of the concierge lounge and request special services, you should tip the concierge in an amount appropriate to the services provided. A 15% gratuity is automatically added to your bar bills, so unless you find a bar server or bartender who goes above and beyond, you are covered there. If you have kids in the Adventure Oceans program, you might want to tip their counsellors. That about covers it, except for the porters who take your luggage when you arrive at the pier and when you are disembarking.:) Enjoy your cruise and don't worry about the tipping procedures. They will be spelled out for you in detail as the cruise draws to an end.
nlcentralchmps03 Posted July 15, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 15, 2006 If you have kids in the Adventure Oceans program, you might want to tip their counsellors. This really is great advice. Those guys don't get the luxury of the head dining room server and those people who get pretty much automatic tips.
Sheffie Posted July 15, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 15, 2006 Here is a great site to help you see the totals of the tips that are listed in the booklet. Tpkeller, from CC, made it. http://cruisetip.tpkeller.com/
