masteryoda13 Posted July 15, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2006 Has anybody been to this tour via NCL: Mendenhall Glacier & Wildlife Quest? I originally wanted to go to Photo Safari by Land and Sea, but they don't offer it anymore. Is it worth $135? We're leaving next friday for our first cruise on the NCL SUN and can't wait. Thanks very much in advance for your help.
Budget Queen Posted July 16, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 16, 2006 Yes this is a great tour option. IF you want extended time, however at Mendenhall, it would be best to go with an indepedent with either a drop off/pick up at Mendenhall then a shuttle bus- $6pp the other direction. The tours allow about 45- 1 hour usually. Enough time is you don't want to hike.

NCL offers 3 choices: Whale Watching Adventure, Whale Watching & Wildlife Quest and Mendenhall Glacier & Wildlife Quest. I'm guessing that the last one is basically a combination of the first and second tours with addition to the visit to Mendenhall Glacier. They are priced 115, 120 and 135 each. Not a big difference, but obviously if it's not worth paying 20 extra bucks, I'm not going to pay. Your opinion is really appreciated on this. Thanks.
