Westerdam: Before Christmas

I know that it is really early to be thinking about Christmas, (and wow is it ever hot outside!) but we have just booked the Westerdam for December 17-24, 2006 (my excitment level is overflowing!) and although we will not be sailing over the day I'm wondering if there will be any decorations up (what types, where located, anyone with pictures?). Any special activities? I would love to hear all the details: December is a long time from now!

Decorations will definitely be up. They will put them up either Dec 3 or Dec 10. Several trees including a fairly large one in the atrium. At least one outdoor lighted decoration was installed during our cruise on the Westerdam in 2004.

Decorations were already up during our Nov. 27 cruise last year. They also played some Christmas music by the pool, which really contrasted with the Caribbean atmosphere. But the decorations were lovely!
