mariner promenade rooms

Any comments on the promenade rooms on the Mariner. We have one on the 8th deck booked for July 1,2007 and I am curious of how the noise level is from the Promenade and if it is more roomy than a reqular interior cabin.

Thanks, Linda

We had a 7th deck Promenade Room on Mariner in May. The room was really nice and we had no problems with noise from the Promenade below. The only thing we heard was the two parades and they only lasted a short time. It was actually fun to watch them from our window.

We had two adults in the room and had no problem with the size. The window makes the room feel much bigger than it is since it bows out and has a nice couch built into it.

Mariner is a gorgeous ship! Enjoy your cruise!! :)

The windows are very thick- very soundproof. You will hear the parades with muffles sounds..but other then that you will hear nothing. THe glass is tilted out on deck 8- I prefer deck 7 to be inbetween cabin space- away from public areas. Smack dab in the middle of the deck so you can see both sides of the promanade is perfect.

We had this type of room both times we were on the Mariner & they were fine. They had enough space, but not as much room as a balcony cabin. No noise problem at all. Just from the parade. Deck 7 has a little better view then deck 8. Keep that curtain closed when getting out of the shower!!!
