1stAnnivCruise Posted July 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2006 Is it possible to book one waverunner for two and switch jobs of driver/passenger? or are the tour guides strict on who drives and who is passenger? I know the difference in price is about $60, so I'm trying to figure out what is the best economical thing to do.
lisas414 Posted July 25, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2006 Labadee was $89.00 for one driver and for the second passenger it was $29.00. In St. Maartan, it was $49.00 for two people, they did not care who drove or if you even had a license and it was for 1/2 an hour. You did not have to follow a tour guide and stay in a line, you could go where you wanted to go. Do it there, much better choice.
NYCRUISR Posted July 25, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 25, 2006 Pro and con about Labadee waverunners. If you pay for 2 drivers you can switch. You make about 4 stops along the tour. Both people would need the vest with the handles then. It is an open throttle thing that travels over a fair distance and through a few different water conditions ( waves) Although more expensive it seems ( imo) to always be more fun than zipping back and forth along the beach. As a second choice, that is fun also. The Labadee waverunners tour is 50 minutes, some of which is stopped listening to island histoy and facts. Actual running time is most likely not in excess of 1/2 hour. You have to decide what is best for you.
