nycruiser1975 Posted July 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2006 DH really want to relax on cruise. He wears ties 6 days a week for long hours. Both of us want to go to Captain's night, but he would rather not wear a tie. What he has in mind is one of his linen suits. The top is a button up linen shirt, no tie. Will he be able to attend:(

Only jeans, shorts and t-shirts are forbidden evenings in the dining rooms.

Will he be able to attend:( Yes, he'll be just fine. I understand exactly how he feels, having worn a suit, white shirt, and tie to work for twenty-six years. Slacks and a collared shirt are all that's required for evening meals in the dining rooms. NCL has a realistic attitude to cruise ship attire, not requiring passengers to dress up unnecessarily. johnql Posted July 25, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 25, 2006 He doesn't even need the suit if he doesn't want it, let alone the tie. Dockers with a polo shirt is perfectly fine.

Will he be able to attend:( I have never worn more than a polo shirt and kahki/dockers pants ANY night, including Captains Dinner and Captain's Reception on ANY NCL cruise that I have been on. Only about 40% of the people do dress up.
