Understanding small ship reviews

Just noticed a review on Spirit of Oceanus and realized that some reviewers do not consider things such as: lectures/talks etc. provided by knowledgeable staff and guest speakers or free excursions included with your fare as 'entertainment'. Not everyone is interested in a magician etc. and for many those talks, exciting Zodiac trips with interesting guides, or stops at places not on the published itinerary are not just entertaining but memorable.

We've discovered that we enjoy small ships much more than larger ones and not only because it's so much easier to get on and off at each stop. We have much fonder memories from the Celebrity Xpedition in the Galapagos, the smaller Windstar in Costa Rica, and recently the Spirit of Oceanus southbound than we did any of the 25 large ships we've sailed on.

Are you referring to a southbound Alaska cruise? Do you have any pictures posted of the ship, cabins etc? I just sent away for a brochure from Cruise West for the 2007 Alaska sailings. Were there any teens on board? We have a 15 yo son who cruises with us:)

Thank You!
