SITKA Fishing Guides

Does anyone know if you can get a fishing guide at the docks in Sitka? My husband and 2 friends are interested and wondered if this is an easy thing to do with no reservations - Thanks

Don't get too excited, I can not help with Sitka fishing guide, but could in Ketchikan if you have some flexibility on where you want to fish.

I cruised with the family last year, and we couldn't have gotten luckier with the guide we ended up with, off the dock: Alexander at www.wildsalmonfishing.com was a hoot! We had so much fun just chatting, especially the kids (who insisted on making thank you cards for him when they got home), that we almost didn't notice that we were catching fish after fish! I think he still has a couple pictures of us on his site. Exactly the kind of low-key character that makes an excursion feel like a real find!
