St. Petersburg ?

Recommended Posts

Well, the AVERAGE low temperature in mid-May is 38 degrees (F) with a 20% chance of going below freezing. So they probably do wait until the "last freeze day" (I think that's what the gardeners call it)...

So if you go in the early part of May, chances are you might miss this. And i think there are cruises to the Baltics scheduled in the early part of May. Too bad, I think the highlight of Peterhof are the fountains and the gardens isn't it? :(

Yes I agree the fountains are the highlight. Found out they do not turn them on until almost the end of May. So think I will skip this stop. We will be in St Petersburg on May 10 & 11th. Still too cold for the water I guess.

Vicki :)
