Tony was on the Gem for the transatlantic from Barcelona to NYC 11/29/09 to 12/12/09 and was a real sweet guy. he took good care of everyone.

 

 

You would have trouble finding a nicer guy. He is friendly, funny, and very good at his job. The "kids" who work on the ship adore him, as well as the guests who meet him.

I wish I could be on the Pearl, but that is too close to my April 10 trip on the Star.

 

I met Tony and Jorge Marthino on the Star a few years ago, and met Denis on the Pearl last year. They are all great guys and like to keep things light-hearted. That is why they get such good work from their staff. I touch bases with Tony every so often via email.

 

Maybe someday we will meet on one of the NCL ships !!! :D

 

f you take a " Behind the scenes tour" that Tony is doing, you will get a good look at what a professional he is. The best I have seen at his job !!

Our Transatlantic cruise was great especially with the upsell to A3 courtyard villa even with the rough crossing back to NYC. Prem kainnikara was HD and Ryan Rabe was concierge. It was our first suite experience. if anyone else would like to see pictures here is link.

Hello, fellow sailors! Does anyone know the current names of staff on the Jade. We're cruising 3/7/2010 and would love to see if any favs will be on board. I think the cruise director's name is Eileen Martinez.

Staff Captain - Steven Tepper (also in his 30's, friendly, from the U.S.)

Hotel Director - Armando Da Silva

Assistant Hotel Director - Dallas Easterly (from Texas - y'all)

Guest Relations Manager - Sonja Sommeregger

Cruise Director - Jill Tasher

Food and Beverage Director - Musad Bucuk

Casino Manager - Terrence Keenan

Restaurant Manager - Aydin Kaya

Concierge - Monica Fotache

Hi All,

 

We'll be sailing on the Jewel out of New York June 2010. Does anyone know who's on board? We have emailed Carlos Zarate, Concierge and it will be his last before his vacation. How about the Hotel Director? We are hoping for an upgrade as we are Platinum Latitudes members. We have been given an upgrade to a suite in the past and hoping for one this trip! I guess I'll keep dreaming.................

I would be anxious to know who is on the Star also. Know that it could change before we get on board on April 25th.

I read in someone's review that CD Paul Baya is leaving on a long vacation at the end of March and I'm curious if this is true since I've read such great things about him. We are on the April 11th, Miami to NYC cruise. Will John O'Hara still be Hotel Director then? How do you find these folk's email addresses? Thanks much! :)

Hey Ocean Dreaming, I'm interested in the Spirit staff as well. I'm on the Spirit 3/28/10 which looks like two weeks before you are and also in an AB. Hope we get a reply here. I can clue you in after my cruise.

John O'Hara will still be on the Jewel when you are there. His vacation is scheduled from May 24th thru July 24th

Hi All,

 

Just found out Carlos Zarate, concierge NCL Jewel is on sick leave and Adrian Bica is currently filling in through June 2010. Does anyone know Adrian? What ship is he from? Also, who will be the Hotel Director while John O'Hara is on vacation? We are sailing on the Jewel June 5th and would appreciate any info. We called NCL and they don't keep track ........that's what they are telling us. Thanks...............

I agree PE. I understand why someone would post the vaca schedule, but when you think about it, I wonder if some of the folks working on the ship might consider that something they don't really want broadcast to the world. I may have even been guilty of this at times in the past-but I agree with you and will try to watch it in the future.

 

Just a thought' date=' but you might want to be cautious about broadcasting people complete vacation schedules. But, that is just me.
