carnivals saint john moosehead brewrey tour?

my friend is interested in this tour but it is $49. do you still have to buy the beer in o'learys? heck, i can do that on my own if that is the case.

 

if you have done this tour or know of it please help me out. thanks alot

I posted this reply earlier on another thread. I emailed the Moosehead Brewery and was told that due to security reasons there is no longer a tour of the Brewery.

Apparently, the tour that Carnival pushes never goes to the Brewery, I believe that the pub they mention in the description O'Leary's is on Princess Street a few blocks from the cruise ship pier. I have been in St. John and Halifax before.

i have decided not to do this tour since i can go to the bars on my own. i will find jun things to do in saint john on my own and have a great time.

thanks for the great site. i have book marked it. it really sounds like a great place to stop and have a fun time. i am taking a whale tour with murphys on the water in halifax but i know i will be able to get in a good beer before i get on the ship. thanks again.
