Zeno Posted July 31, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2006 We are considering a cruise on the NCL Crown out of New York to Bermuda. Which airport would be closest to the port ? And where is the cruiseship port located? What type of transportation is available from airport to port? Costs? Thanks a lot. DUH - sorry I should have specified which port in the original post
smeyer418 Posted July 31, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2006 LGA is closest at about 12 miles. EWR is not far behind. Cabs from LGA will cost about $30.00 each way From EWR its about 45.00 plus toll and tip to EWR its a little more and not fixed(its the meter plus 15.00 plus round trip tolls and tip). From JFK it is a fixed 45.00 plus tolls and is about 20 miles. Its a little more getting back and its not a fixed amount. There is www.supershuttle.com that runs from Manhattan to the three ariports I believe. The rates are on their site. There is also a bus or airtrain from Kennedy and EWR but this requires changing and is a hassle. As long as you are with someone a cab or supershuttle is much easier. Finally there are car services that will pick you up and drop you off. Sometimes they are very competitive with a cab and sometimes they cost more. The cruise terminal is at 54 th street and 12th avenue in Manhattan for NCL. www.nycruiseterminal.com
