Moscow excursion?

I wonder if anybody has ever taken the Moscow excursion from St. Petersburg? If so any comments?:p

It's pretty far from St Petersburg, isn't it...:p

 

I think I would rather spend that 6 more hours looking at the sights than sitting at the airport. :D

Due to safety concerns (russian planes) I think you will find that most if not all cruise lines do not now offer excursions to Moscow from St Petersburg.

 

We went with NCL this year and although we already knew they did send a letter telling us that they no longer did the excursion.

We were able to do this in 2003 when aboard the Oosterdam. It was a fascinating day - certainly one of the highlights of the trip. It was fairly well organized, but a very long day. For various and sundry reasons (insurance liability etc.) HAL has not been offing this option the last few years. We were very glad we took the opportunity.
