ramada ltd~galveston

I am wondering about the Ramada Ltd, I see several people have said they have stayed here, but they dont say anything about it. Is the location good? Are there places, food/bar/anything fun, within walking distance? What about the beach, is it a good area, can you get into the water? What about the rooms? Are they clean and decent? We are just looking for a clean, cheap hotel. But we DO want things close by so we can walk around and enjoy a Sat night in Galveston (we will not have a car)

I am getting a little nervous, no one seems to stay here!:eek: If nothing else it is a place to sleep and get on the cruise, but any more infor would be great. I was excited because the trolly stops in front and I thought we could take it to the Strand but I think it stops running at 6pm on Sat night. Any info on this?
