Dining Room Seating- can we change the time?

Hi all- when I booked a cruise for my Mom and I it automatically gave us first seating...can we try to change that somehow? Thanks for any info!

You can call RCI and ask to be waitlisted for late seating now before you cruise.

 

If, when you get on board, you still have first seating, find out where the maitre d' is that afternoon (sometimes it is posted in your Compass which will be in your cabin). Go ASAP and ask him/her for the change. There is no guarantee they will do it, but often they are able to change it for you. Sometimes, you will not get the change the first night. It may take a day or two until they get people sorted out.

P.S. The Compass is the daily "newsletter" and listing of activities and events onboard for that day.

Go to the dining room as soon as you board. The maitre d is usually there starting around 2:00 to help accomodate dining room changes. From what I understand it seems they almost all the time can accomdate. Also try calling RCL, you might be able to change the seating now over the phone.

We did it last cruise, just visited the dining room and made our request, we had to eat early seating the first night but were moved to late for the 2nd night on.

If you booked online you can change your seating at www.rccl.com Just go there and click on My Cruises, once you login you will see a box on the left that says Your Name Information. Choose your reservation #, you will be automaticly redirected. When you get to the next page you will see a bunch of edit buttons Under Cruise Enhancements you will see Preferences: Main Dining Seating

Click that button and choose the later seating. Save your changes and you are done.
