Going on Fantasy 4 night 8-24-06. What night is the Captain's dinner or formal night? First and last day are at sea. Second and third are in ports. Also, the Inspiration had a deck party at night on the night of leaving Cozumel. Does the Fantasy have this? Any other info would be appreciated. Was on this ship in 2000.

Yup, Captain's Party and formal night are the second night of your cruise. In other words, when you come back on board from Nassau, the Captain's party will be starting. This is why I recommend a late dinner seating. You can stay ashore longer, then still have time to come back onboard, shower, change and attend the Captain's Reception. If you have an early seating, you have to get back to the ship much earlier to have time to shower and change.

The deck party is the 3rd night of the Cruise. When we went on the Fantasy in June, they had a late night Mexican Buffet on deck, directly across from where the band was playing. That night is fun so don't miss it. Be careful volunteering for the contest that night... it's Karaoke in front of half the ship.

Thanks for the info. We only plan on spending a few hours in Nassau. Been there before. We don't know when our dinner is. Recently booked, haven't gotten docs yet. TA didn't ask our preference. I love the night time deck parties. Hopefully weather is good. Last two cruises not so great, raining or cold. Also, how was the disco on the Fantasy as far as people actuallly being in there? On the Inspiration it was pretty dead every night except first night. On the Victory last month it was great. Every night was packed. Loved watching the New Yorkers dance.
