Mooguy Posted August 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2006 I see some ooonline TA's offer a coupon book valued at $250+/-. What kind of coupons are in one of these books.
Toto2Kansas Posted August 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 12, 2006 Most coupons are 2 for 1 offers, nothing too exciting. 2 for 1 drinks, and spa coupons. We usually just throw ours away, just not much interesting in them. A $250 value is what they are advertised to be, and I always have to laugh at that one. Mooguy Posted August 12, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted August 12, 2006 Well I would use the one for the free drink for sure.
Quilting_Cruiser Posted August 12, 2006 #4 Share Posted August 12, 2006 If it's the one our TA thought was such a "great perk," it's not anything to write home about. Things like buy five 8x10s and get the 6th one free--you get that in the photo gallery anyway--buy one get one free at Scoops, $5 off the internet (we did use that one), $10 off a $100 purchase in the boutiques, and I don't remember what else because we didn't use any others. So, no big thing. Jayne :)

Don't get your hopes up. The coupon books I've seen require you to buy something...giving you another item for free or reduced cost. Spending money to save money? Nah... calliecat Posted August 12, 2006 #6 Share Posted August 12, 2006 Do you think they would honor one from a past cruise? We didn't use the BOGO Mimosa drink!
Widespreadpanic Posted August 12, 2006 #7 Share Posted August 12, 2006 Somewhere in CC there is another thread about the coupon books - people looking to buy/sell/trade/give away. I agree, not exciting, but the we used the internet, BOGO mimosa and free picture, but not the casino match play or any of the others. If you acquire one you don't use, or don't use all the coupons in, you can always semi-hide it in the cabin for the next occupant.:D
miched Posted August 12, 2006 #8 Share Posted August 12, 2006 I have not seen any coupon book worth the paper it was printed on. Won a book of coupons with a value of $475 in Vegas. Big deal. As stated you had to buy something and most were useless. A 2 for 1 drink iin Vegas. Big deal. I have never, ever paid for a drink other than a TIP while there. Or 10% off a purchase over $100. Free beads with a purchase. All junk. Take it as long as you don't have to pay for it. There may be something you might use.

So, no big thing.:) That sounds like the book we received. The internet coupon was useful :) and the $10 off boutique purchases was okay, but if I remember, it was only good for certain Princess wave logo items, and that didn't even include some shirts with Princess on them. khfadpi Posted August 12, 2006 #10 Share Posted August 12, 2006 We used 2 internet coupons (total savings $10) and ours had buy 3 8x10s get one free ( saved 19.95) and we used the free casino coupons for match play. Won $20. Did use any of the others, came out $50 ahead.:)
