Whyndam Tampa downtown??

I am staying at the Whyndham Westshore in Tampa, how easy is it to get downtown and to the channel? How is the hotel???

I am staying at the Whyndham Westshore in Tampa, how easy is it to get downtown and to the channel? How is the hotel???

 

stayed there last july 2006, took a taxi to the port for $20, hotel is right across the westshore mall, very convenient walk, 2-3 minutes. hotel is not the fanciest, just ok and but very convenient to shopping, dining and to the port.

If you join Wyndham's By Request club- they set you up with goodies in the room- such as your favorite drink and snack. Sign up for it on Wyndham.com and I think you will have to call them directly to add your reservation- my mom just did this for her trip to Boston and they offered her a free 3 night stay at a partnering hotel. It's worth checking out!
