underwayatlast Posted August 16, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2006 I've heard that an aerial tram has opened on the island, does anyone have information about this new attraction. Thanks.
Huskies4 Posted August 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 17, 2006 We leave on Sunday for our cruise. We will be in St. Lucia on Wednesday and have booked this excursion through the ship. I will try and remember to post about it when we get back.
Huskies4 Posted August 29, 2006 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2006 Hi, we are just back from the Adventure and took this tour on St. Lucia. This is a very new facility (opened in March '06), very nice. The tram is a gondola seating approx. 8 - 10 people, 4 or 5 rows of two people. It took about 1 hour. Going up the mountain you are in the lower layer of the canopy and coming back down you are up in the higher layers. There were some interesting things to be seen and the guide was informative. The views are very nice, and probably better on a clear day. It was a little overcast and misty the day we were there. The tour itself was interesting and informative, but not exciting. My husband and I took this tour while our son and daughter (ages 17 and 21) took the aerial trek zipline tour. They really enjoyed that, so if you are looking for a more adventurous day, do the zipline. The kids said that there were a few "older" people on their tour (40's and 50's) who had no problem with it.
anteldel Posted September 1, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 1, 2006 Hi, we're "older" people (42 & 46) who would be interested in doing the zip line with our 14 year old daughter. Could you pass on a little more info about it? Thanks!
