Companion Books for Alaska

The Princess cruise companion by Joe Upton is very hard to come by these days. Even Princess have back-ordered it.

I was wondering whether there are other books out there that you have read that are comparable to the Princess one by Joe Upton?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I looked at several Alaskan books before I went the first time and purchased this one:

Alaska by Cruiseship: The Complete Guide to Cruising Alaska by Anne M. Vipond.

Here is a Barnes and Noble link:

I liked this book better then Frommers and Fodors Alaska cruising book.

I like having both books - Alaska Cruise Companion (Princess book) and Alaska by Cruiseship. They are completely different and compliment each other. I hope you can get the one through Princess soon. I ordered one about 3 weeks ago for a friend and got it in a few days.

We paid for our Companion Book on 05/28. I called Princess last week and they confirmed our credit card charges but couldn't say what happened to the book. Fortunately, they overnighted one to us last week.
