lbfluffy Posted July 8, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2004 I am planning to take my 15 year old daughter with me on a cruise next April. We have done Carnival Pride and Elation for the Mexican Riviera itinerary. She does not want to do the same destinations. We are from California and I really don't want to spend a ton on airfare. So I know that limits us. You see I took my son on a 5 day cruise on RCCL this past March and now I owe her a trip. My husband can't go so it will be just us girls. A 7 day cruise would be fine. Thanks.
lbfluffy Posted July 8, 2004 Author #2 Share Posted July 8, 2004 It's been a while since I've been on these boards, but I do remember getting tons of help when I needed it. I still need some suggestions please.
aggieastrosfan Posted July 8, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2004 I know the Spirit does an 8-day "exotic" Mexican Riviera trip (it hits the resort spots south of PV), but I don't know if they do it in April or not. I think it's a fall itinerary. Another line may do this trip in April on a 7-day route. Have you checked Royal Carribbean or Princess? If a 4-day would suffice, you could always do the 4-day Baja on the Paradise, but it's not a great itinerary for beaches (Catalina and Ensenada), or those who have cruised before. CruiseCATnMACK Posted July 8, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 8, 2004 Hi Jessica, Good to see you on the boards again. I know being on the west coast can severely limit our options. You might want to check both JetBlue and Spirit Airlines for reasonable airfare into Florida. http://spiritair.com/ http://jetblue.com/ (Also goes into San Juan) I also use TravelAXE and Travelocity to search the common airline prices. http://www.travelaxe.com/NewSite/Information_Overview.asp You will need to download a program for TravelAXE http://travelocity.com/ We will be on the Conquest out of New Orleans in December; flights were a little high but we are happy with the non-stop flight. Good luck.
lbfluffy Posted July 8, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted July 8, 2004 Hi Cindy, it's great to be back. I'll have to check the airline flights. We just got back from a land vacation in Cancun. It was great, but I think I'm still partial to cruises. Well thanks again.
