I haven't seen this question asked or answered specifically. I know that there are hot spots for WiFi access on most of the ships that offer WiFi. I just wanted to know if there is any possibility that the Grand Suites might be a "hot spot". One can hope.

I am going to bump this up to give it one last gasp to see if anyone knows the answer. I'm not sure I will be as eager to lug my laptop from place to place on the ship as I would be to set it up once in my suite and leave it for the week. It's not a small notebook style, unfortunately. ( DOH!).

You could always purchase the Cyber cabin for the week..........not quite as fast as WiFI,but you can just leave your computer in the cabin and use it whenever you want..

Parrothead8, That may be my only option. I had hope to post pictures and so forth here on cruise critic and sure would have enjoyed the faster connect. Where I live, we do not have high speed (so to speak) We have satellite modem and it is about a half-a-heartbeat faster than dial up. I sometimes save uploading (which is the slowest feature of satellite modem) until I get to work where I have DSL. But you are correct, it may be my only option. Thanks.

Unless it has changed lately Freedom of the Seas is the only ship in the RCCL fleet with WiFi access in cabins.

 

If you are lucky enough and your cabin is near a hot spot you may be able to access it but the cabins itself are not hot spots.
