javadoc3 Posted July 8, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2004 We will be on Maui for 2 days in November. We have reserved our car, but I am concerned about where to safely park in overnight. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Nidwaldner Posted July 8, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2004 I'm also very interested in knowing where to park overnight in Kahului.
MOMofONE Posted July 8, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 8, 2004 When we were waiting for shuttle to our rental cars, in Kahului, we asked around, about evening parking, but no one seemed to know. However, the pleasant customer rep we had at Alamo told us there WOULD be an assigned spot when we returned to the pier. Sure enough, we were able to drop off passengers and beach gear, at gate, and port security directed us about 2 short blocks down the road where a man was directing traffic into parking spots. Drivers then walked back to pier, and in morning walked to rental car again. No worries :) Tina
javadoc3 Posted July 9, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted July 9, 2004 Hi Spleen, I've been reading many of your posts. Lots of great info. We will be in Lahaina. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.
spleen93 Posted July 9, 2004 #6 Share Posted July 9, 2004 In Lahaina, there seem to be enough municipal lots near the pier that finding parking does not seem to be a problem. Prices vary wildly and the cheaper lots fill up first so try to park early if possible! As mentioned in the previous thread, Kahului is harder since there's no real municipal parking in the area. You can always try to park in the mall across from the pier - should be OK. Spleen
javadoc3 Posted July 11, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted July 11, 2004 Thanks for the help Spleen! We will look for the lots. It's been years since we visited Maui. Javadoc3
