we have booked on Sun Pricess 10 days eastern caribbean, Nov.30-Dec.10.

Reading the ship's reviews by passengers, the newest were around January 06. In 2005 the Sun received some bad reviews on rude staff, bland food, clenaliness of the ship, etc. Would someone who has been on the Sun Princess recently please comment?

When it leaves the North and repositions South, for the winter, will it still have the same staaff for the most part? thankyou, Jerry Whitfield.

This will be my 3rd cruise with Princess.

We were on the Sun in July. I thought the ship was clean and in good shape for its age. We also did not encounter any rudeness from the staff. However we thought the food was just acceptable and not as good as we had on the Grand in April. We also thought that the Personal Choice dining room staff were okay, but not as good as we had on the Grand. On the other hand, our cabin steward on the Sun was the best we have had.

We were on the Sun in March. We had excellent service in the dining room where we ate all our meals. All the wait staff were very good and did a great job. We had personal choice and our waitress and waiter were one of the best teams. The food was good not excellent but we had no complaints at all. The ship was in good shape for being an older ship. The crew were very visible doing the cleaning etc. that crew do. We found this crew to be friendly and pleasant. This was our second cruise on the Sun, we cruised in April '05 with them. We wouldn't hesitate to cruise on the Sun again. :) Have a great time.

Just received a post on a great discount on the Sun October 11, 2006 for 10 nights Caribbean only $499. Wish I could take advantage of that one but just too close. Boy do I love those last minute savings when they do peak through. It will go fast at that rate hope someone on the boards can take advantage of this savings.

This post was taken from the Sun Princess Sydney to SFO 4/08 Roll:

The Sun Princess got a score of 99 on the last inspection on July 19, 2006. You can CLICK on the underline of the ship's name to see the detailed report and corrective action taken.
