FLL what to do when cruise is over before fight

Our ship docks approx 8:30AM and our flight out doesn't leave until 5:20 PM. I understand you have to be at the airport several hours before the flight, but it only takes a few minutes to get from port to airport.

Any cost saving suggestions on what to do while in down for a few hours? What do you do with your luggage while you have approx 7 hours to spend?

since you have that much time to kill you might want to see if the cruiseline bus to the airport includes some sightseeing -- many of them do--- you could do that to kill some time and your luggage is stowed in the bottom of the bus--or you could rent a car for the day -----------decide on something because the ftlaud airport will bore he hell out of you after one walk up and down

You could rent a car - both to get around and "sightsee" and to have a place to stash your luggage. You can't check your luggage early at FLL and then go kill some time elsewhere [at least that wasn't possible a couple of yr ago].

Please specify in which city you will be.

The post said FLL (Ft Lauderdale)

Most cruiselines offer a four hour Everglades tour. Your luggage stays with you while you take a trip to the glades, ride an airboat and check out the ecosystem. Usually return to the airport by 1 or 2 pm.

Car rental would probably be better though. Spend the day at Sawgrass Mills Outlet stores. ;)

Ditto

We always do the car thing. For a family of four it works out to be much cheaper than the cruise transfers and allows us a place to leave our luggage while we enjoy the day. You can go shopping, sightseeing or spend the day at the beach. If you join a "priority" club with a car rental company it will take minutes to pick up a car and less time to return it at the airport.
