Hi,

We'll be in Ketchikan on Sept 4. I'd like to take the six hour tour on Alaska Cruises.

The ship schedule says it leaves at three. The tour ends at two thirty, at a different dock than the ship is ported at.

It took some doing, but I talked my family into the idea that we'd have enough time to get back to the ship. Today, when my mother called to book the tour, the guy from Alaska Cruises said that the "all-aboard" call for the NCL Sun was at 2:30, and he couldn't get us back by then.

Can someone provide some information on whether we can finish our independent excursion at 2:30, and get on the ship before it leaves without us?

Other ideas of what to do in Ketchikan are also welcome.

Thanks!

I think the main problem is that you are suppose to be on the ship app. an hour before departure. The ship needs time to do their head count before they leave port. If your excursions gets back "around" 2:30, by the time you make it to the ship...? You need to do something that gets you back before 2.
