Thank you, I look forward to your account. Leaving 9/3 don't want to rush your time but can't wait for mine. How was embarkation, did you notice the time the former passengers were debarking. I'm trying to judge a pickup time for car service. Thanks for any help

They were our waitstaff on the 8/7 cruise and they are wonderful. Please tell them Kathy and Rita said hi...I am sure Georgie is still wondering what to do with the scrubbie mom crocheted for him! Have a wonderful trip and hopefully Ernesto won't make things too choppy!

Have a wonderful cruise and don't forget to attend the Champagne Waterfall. It will probably be the second formal night.

Good Morning All

So Sorry for the incorrect typing - guess I am SO EXCITED. Probably would be talking out loud if I would be doing this in person.!! LOLOLOL

Anyway - back to the trip Yes, Kathy and Rita - will tell them you said hi.

Thank you Colo Cruiser and Krystal for you warm wishes

The Eds - can't say I saw other passengers because we got there at 1 pm cause husband had to work and I had to keep an eye on my group of dh, 3 sons and 2 in-laws, but I know people got there at about 11 thirty. Iguess it depends when you want to be here.

It's a beautiful ship, and it really doesn't seem like there are 3100 pax here. We are getting ready to "park" it in Bermuda. That has a special memory for me cause it's where I honeymooned 19 years ago. So we are going to take a taxi to Horseshoe bay because my FIL has bad knee and I dont' think he will be able to walk up and down the hill after getting off a bus.

BTW, my husband has arranged for him and my two older son 16 and 13 to do some type of snubing in ST Thomas so when they do it, I will tell you about it if anyone is interested. The weather was not very sunny yesterday, but be warned, that doesn't mean you won't burn. My nose is a little red and it's not because of the drinks!

Haven't had my coffee yet and gotta get the whole gang up now.

Will talk again tomorrow. Be well everyone and keep being excited!

Terryanne

I've met a few cruisers from my roll call and they are lovely people. Try to meet as amany as you can.

Hey Everyone,

There's another thread started by NetNurse31, which is so wonderfully detailed for all of you. If i'ts ok, why don't I just respond to anything or contribute through that thread so it's one less thread for all of you. I will continure to check mine, but it may be easier for all of you to gather your info on one thread Ok? Bye

How was embarkation, did you notice the time the former passengers were debarking. I'm trying to judge a pickup time for car service.

We disembarked on 8/25 (wanted to stay forever!). The Crown had a wonderful service called Express Disembarkation; You are the first group to leave the ship, but you must be able to carry all your bags yourself with no help from porters. Instead of placing your bags outside the cabin door on the last night of the cruise and hoping your bags aren't lost or stolen, you keep them with you and roll them off the cruise yourself.

The ship was cleared at 7:45 AM, and immediately express groups were called by number to leave the ship. We were in group Navy 7, and we were called at 8:15 AM. You are supposed to vacate the staterooms by 8:00 AM, by we stayed on the balcony until our number was called.

There was still a line we had to wait in; I estimate we were at our car by 9:00 AM, when we discovered I had left the lights on! Triple A was there within the hour, and we were on our way home!

Hope this helps! Will post more later, too.

Some friends of ours are on your crusie, if you bump into a couple whose names are Ron & Pat (from Manalapan NJ) tell them their friends Mark & Gail say hi, and hope they and everyone on th eship is having a good time.

Is the huricanne, Ernesto affecting the cruise with any port changes or rough seas?

Good Afternoon

Yes, cruising me0808 will do wrote the names down.

PHd-iva thanks very much for the info!

Miami u72 told them and they said hi back!

Yesterday, went to Bermuda, which is a beautiful place. We went to Horseshoe bay beach via taxi. I am travelling with my FIL who uses a cane. He never would be able to get up and down the walk to and from the beach after getting off the bus, so we took a taxi van and for the 7 of us it cost approx 36 dollars plus tax. But it gave me and my husband peace of mind and we had a wonderful time. It was full of cruise people , but everyone kept to themselves and we all shared a beautiful day in a beautiful beach (man do I sound like a Pollyanna or what!)

This morning my MIL and FIL went to the culinary presentation at the Princess theater with the head chef and the head maitre-d. Yes, it was so very enjoyable and ;then we did the walk thru the DaVinci kitchen. Being that I am travelling with my FIL, I am now more aware of the sometimes limited abilities of people with canes, wheelchairs in regard to travelling by stairs. So if anyone is travelling with anyone who is not able to use stairs, if you go see the show, you must go to deck 6 forward, past Gatsby casino and their is access to the front of the theater so you don't have to use stairs, then for the tour, just go out again same way and thru the casino and straight to the Davinci where you can get the tour. It was enjoyable.

As I sit here, I try to think of what to tell all, but my mind goes blank, there is so much to see. Any questions, please ask. To those going on this ship, it's a wonderful place and you will enjoy yourselves. I will not go into any, what I would consider, little things that are bothersome, because there has been nothing so far that has been a dissapointment FOR ME. This is my own personal opinion and I hope you all enjoy your trip as much as I am enjoying mine. Be well all and keep packing!!

Please keep the reviews coming! We are going on the 11/4 cruise and can't wait!

Please let me know if you take the ceramics classes - several in our group are interested.

Good Morning

Sorry not to be back before , but I couldn't log onto this site.

Anyway we are having a great time.

Willysgrandma - my 8 year old son plans to do ceramics at some point. It is just a corner by the pool sectioned off with a few card tables. They have a few sizes of plates, a vase and I don't remember what else. I think they give you some paint and you just do your decorating and then they fire it and give it back to you a few days later. I guess that is the extent of ceramics. I think my son would like to do something as a remembrance of this trip.

I will just jump around on different topics because there is so much to tell.

We went on an open sided bus to Magen's bay yesterday. Cost was 25pp and the woman driver, Felicia, rode us UP and DOWN the island along very curvy roads. Stopped at a picturesque spot to take photo of Magen's beach from the top and then dropped us off for 2 hours of swimming. She dropped us off at the end and it was lovely, not near all the Disney "reserved" lounges and we had a nice quiet time. The sun was going in and out, but it was still warm enough. The trip suited us fine. On our way back, she dropped off anyone that wanted to go shopping in I thin was called the old town or something, where everyone goes. But we stayed on and got off by the shops near the ships and we walked back to the ship, ate lunch and my boys and I went souvineer (sp?) shoopping. We had to get back by 3 thirty. would have loved just maybe 1 more hour to buy some stuff, but it saved my husband some money!LOL

Sarge is performing tonight. We all heard he's fabulous. Can't wait.

Today we go to Turks. This is the only time I honestly can say that I can feel the ship swaying a bit. Nothing to get sick over, but the trip so far has been incredibly smooth. Will let you know how my dh and 2 ds do with the snubing.

We stayed on the ship when in San Juan. We had no plans to do any siteseeing and thought the walking would be toomuch for my fil and my kids didn't want to do it either. We had just about the whole pool to ourselves. I could have been the biggest hog of chairs at this time. LOL

We swam, and lounged, and when we had enough then everyone was coming back on board. I sometimes forget that it's ok to do nothing on a cruise, even tho there are many things to do. MY 16 year old and fil joined a new club on board called the 16 -76 clubLOL They vegged out all that day watching tv with an old movie and a show on the hope diamond. I kept thinking that maybe my son would want to go to the teen center, but all 3 boys are totally against it, even though I've heard really good thaings, about it. I'm very happy that they still and hope always will, enjoys their grandparents company like they are doing on this trip.

Immigration had to be done in PR. The line on the ship was unbelievabley long, so being that we weren't goin off the ship. My family stayed in the pool and at about 11 thirty, we went up onto the line. My fil stayed in a chair till it was time and then got on, and we were thru total in about 30 minutes. I don't know if princess can improve on this becaue there were only 3 customs agents there.

There are 52 hangers in my cabin. More than enough.

Husband and I did the mud thing. It was fun and funny. Only time were had time by ourselves and we laughed and enjoyed the time together.

We are on Dolphin deck and yes, the sun is hot on the deck, but it's not ther all the time and when the sun is not there, it is really quite enjoyable.

This morning, about 6am I heard rain outside, so I got up and thought that maybe I ought to get the stuff in, but it was "pouring" and then I looked and noticed that it wastn't raining beyond the railing, so I thought OH MY God, is the pool leaking, is something leaking, is this this voyages version of the problems like the past list, oil problem, bogus man overboard? No it was the window washers way up top LOLOLOL

Ok that's all I can think of MY fellow future princess and prince cruisers.

Will try to get back again Be well and keep on packing!

Hi Terryanne,

Thanks for posting. One question please, you said you and your husband did the "mud thing". Is this the Rasul? If it is, it is soooo much fun! Can you please tell me how much it is, I don't remember. Thanks. I hope you continue to have a WONDERFUL cruise!

Hello all

Had a wonderful day in Turks.

As I type I am finishing a tropitini drink, so excuse me if I slur the keys! lol

We are not going to specialty restaurants because we are really enjoying the regular dining. Think Net Nurse31 went and she has a thread here.

There is sometimes a sewer smell and it just reminds me of all the o;ther cruises I've been on. Not too offensive.

Haven't found any debris on my deck from decks above, but a bird did poop on the chair day before yesterday LOLOLOL

The rasul I willexplain our experience tomorrow because I'm waiting to see Sarge and can't type too fast right now. I will definitely get to it tomorrow.

glad to share this with all of you. Isn't it amazing, we don't know each other, but we are all so happy and excited to hear from me. Thanks for the positive feeling I get from this thread. Will answer anthing I miss tomorrow.

Be well and keep on packing

We had a mini on the Dolphin on the 8/16 sailing. We loved it. The totally open balconies take a little getting used to, but we liked it.

The bedding is so comfortable. And, it is nice to have a tub just so you have more room to shower.

You will have a GREAT time!

Good Morning All

I have to tell you how happy I feel that you are enjoying my posts.

We are eating dinner 6pm in Botticelli dr. Very nice and service is wonderful Food is very good.

I guess we did escape Ernesto, because the weather has been wonderful. My bathing suit never saw so much sun. I'm not a sun or beach person at all and it's now time for it to retire!!

We saw Sarge last night and he does live up to all the great reviews. He did, as amother, have some slight innappropriate stuff for my kids, but it really was no big deal, so I guess I shouldn't have mentioned it. He was funny and everyone in the audience really hooted and hollered.

I wish I could tell you more things, like about the bingo, horseracing, dance lessons, but this darn , but beautiful ship is so big, coupled with the fact that we are having such a wonderful time, that we have been unable to see everything. I am going to try my best to go to the cha cha lesson today even if it means i go alone! LOL

The muts movies are silent from 8am till 4pm you have to rent a headphone for 2.50 which we havent done yet and might not do by the time we head home.

One thing that I don't recall reading anywhere - the cruise lines i imagine are very concerned about the norovirus and when you enter the Horizon Court or Cafe Caribe, they have an automatic hand sanitizer that dispenses some of that hand gel which they provide for us to wash our hands. Very discreet, and I do it to contribute to the cleanliness of the ship.

The food in the horizon is fine. I see fresh and canned fruit, a great fresh green salad bar with the fixings, just so much that we have all read on other posts.

BTW, there were no choc chip cookies i think for a few days at the intn'l cafe, but they did have oatmeal raisin and they were very good.

The atrium is the most beautiful part of the ship. It's so nice and soothing to listen to the violinists at certain parts of the day. Its great.

Today I think I will just eat my way thru the ship and do some shopping. BTW, I've read alot of posts about the shops. Listen, I'm not a cruise maven by any means, but I found them to be very nice. I bought my sisters some very pretty sea glass necklaces as gifts and I wore oen to dinner and it really looked nice. Everything on this cruise, from food, entertainments, accomodations, is what WE all make it and I'm having a fabulous time because I am with my family, I am surrounded by polite people, people are nice on the elevator, etc. I would love to share my time more when I'm home, and will do so if you all wish me to do.

My vacation starts next wed when my boys go back to school ! LOL

In the meantime, life is good and I wish you well and keep on packing !
