wvdleek Posted July 9, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2004 The s.s. REMBRANDT, former s.s. ROTTERDAM, under tow by the Polish tug Englishman, is due to arrive in Gibraltar on Sunday 11 July between noon and 04.00 pm. SeaDays Posted July 20, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2004 It's great to see that the trip went well. As 20-somethings, we sailed Rotterdam in 1973, Cabin U62, and we still remember our cabin steward's name. We'll be glad to visit, and hopefully stay on this classic. yarlenna Posted July 21, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 21, 2004 Sigh. She was still tied up at dock in March when I was in Freeport. She was a classy old liner
wvdleek Posted July 23, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted July 23, 2004 On 12 July (one day late), she arrived safely in Gibraltar. I am working on photo-albums of which two are finished. These albums can be accessed via my website. The status of the ship can be seen on the photos and the descriptions are hopefully clear enough.
