Comparison between Queen Victoria & Arcadia

In the absence of a webcam, here's a comparison with the first Queen Victoria - P&O's ARCADIA - From the Fincantieri Web site - Queen Victoria data first:

Gross Tonnage abt 89,500 / 82,505 tonnes

Length overall abt 294.0 / 285.3 m

Length between perpendiculars 265.36 / 254 m

Breadth moulded 32.25 / 32.25 m

Numbers of decks 16 / 16

Height to bulkhead deck 10.8 / 10.8 m

Height to deck 3 19.81 / 19.81 m

Design draft mld 7.90 / 7.80 m

Corresponding deadweight 7,685 / 7200 tonnes

Scantling draft 8.0 / 8.0 m

Maximum air draft from waterline 54.5 / 54.0 m

Max speed Abt. 23.7 / abt 24.0 knots

Service Speed 21.7 / 22.0 knots

 

In other words, slightly longer, slightly slower.....though max capacity is lower: QV: 2208 + 992 crew, total 3200, Arcadia: 2556 + 890 crew, total 3446.
