abolanowski Posted September 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2006 We are cruising on Freedom of the Seas in Feb and plan on booking our own dive. Anyone heard of/ dived with Albatross? I'm looking for a smallish (no more than 10 divers) boat. Any reqs for ops fitting the bill are appreciated. Also, only planning to dive once on this cruise - Is Cozumel better than Grand Cayman (my assumption)?

bruce-r Posted September 2, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 2, 2006 Are you sure you don't mean Scuba with Alison? No, he means http://cozumelscuba.com/index.htm although http://www.scubawithalison.com is a highly rated dive Op in Cozumel. My personal favorite is http://www.bluextseadiving.com I'd also look at http://www.scubatony.com Many cruisers seem to have good luck with http://www.eagleraydivers.com I haven't dived with Albatros, but they have been recommended to me by someone I trust as a good choice for a fishing charter. As for Cozumel diving being better than Grand Cayman, I wouldn't say it was better, but is certainly is a bit different as just about all the diving in Cozumel is drift diving and there is usually little if any current in Grand Cayman. They are both excellent dive destinations and you wouldn't be disappointed diving either place. The diving in Cozumel is a bit less expensive and probably easier to arrange.
