Beaches in San Juan

You do have time to see El Morro and Old San Juan. I don't know if that is something you want to do or not. You could catch a cab and go to a beach. I have only been to the beach in the Condado area. It is a nice beach, but since it is on the Atlantic side, every time we have been there it has been a little wavey. (Is that a word?)

Within about 15 min. drive is Isla Verde beach. Quite a long stretch of white sand, the part in front of the hotels is very nice however it was quite wavy when we were there. That was the only beach we had time to see. I gather the other side of the island is better but too far away.

With limited amount of time - Jewel of the Seas - Dec 06 - will be stopping at 2:00 p.m. departing at 8:00 p.m. - question is beaches nearby since we do not have too much time?

Thanks

I thought the Jewel would be there from 12:30 to 7pm. Have they changed the hours again?
