E730 on Caribbean Princess

gonna go cruising

Recommended Posts

While you will lose a couple of feet in depth compared to a Caribe balcony, you will gain a lot of width. This cabin is one of 4 on the ship to have a rounded extension to the aft.

Take a look at this album. It is of E731 which is the other side of the ship from yours.

These are also from E731 on the CB.

This is a picture looking up at E731's balcony (the lower one). It gives a good idea of the size.

I posted a similar question, and was told to call princess' 1-800 number, and they answered all my questions about my exact cabin I booked.

The balcony size

covered or uncovered

etc.

I would just call, they will have all the measurements

Thanks. I just did and I think they didnt bother looking at the specific cabin though since they said it is 8'9" by 6'6". Does this sound right for the end one where you can see both the side and wake?

Thanks for the links. I think this only confirms my suspion that we were given the generic balcony sizes by customer service for that category. Looks larger than 6'6 by 8'9 to me.

The 6'6" depth sounds about right but the balcony is probably about 17 or 18 feet at the longest point - probably double the 8'9". We had D733 on the CB which goes a bit further back as you can see by the picture and it was HUGE!

Were you happy with the location? Movement wise? I rather like the idea of looking at the wake when we choose but I also want to see where we are going and not just where we have been!

That's a very coveted cabin...you won't be disappointed. It's one of the very few mini-suites that has a covered balcony (rather than completely open to all the elements) and it is larger than a regular mini-suite balcony. We had one booked, but had to cancel the cruise. When we rebook the Caribbean Princess, we will try for the same cabin.

Thank you jerseygirl3. I am sorry you had to cancel but am glad to know it is a good cabin. I was concerned as to why it was still available for a March sailing.

We had this cabin in March on CB. It is great! The balcony is probably 15 feet long, though the back end curves in to meet the ship so the last bit isn't very usable. Still, it accomodated 2 full lounge chairs, a small low table, and the regular height table and 2 chairs found on the other balconies.

About the only major drawback to this cabin is that it is under the stage area for Club Fusion, and the deep thrum of the drum/bass can sometimes be heard until late at night. You also have to walk a LONG way down the corridor to get to the elevators, which wasn't much of an issue except for the nights where the formal shoes make it feel like a good mile.

Overall, though it is a great cabin. Have fun!

Thanks! I understand about the formal shoes. I have taken mine off in the corridors before to get to the cabin. Especially in rough seas!

E731 just opened up on my 4/14/07 Crown Sailing. We were booked in an AB mini before and were so happy to get this cabin by chance! Does anyone know if E730 and E731 have full tubs on the Crown? I have seen before where they have handicap showers.

Only D732 and D733 have the handicap showers. E730 and E731 have the tubs just like all other minis.

Thanks Redsgy! I guess we really lucked out on this one and it's cheaper! Some one was really looking out for us!

Originally booked 11/18/2007 sailing 15 months out just to get one of these cabins only to learn that they were already taken. I settled for the cabin next to it, but I didn't give up on getting one of those cabins. Last night I went on Princess' booking engine and found that E730 had become available; shot my TA an email and voila, I now have the cabin I originally wanted. I just love it when a plan comes together!
