Working toward platinum card, benefits?

What exactly are some perks of the Platinum Sail & Sign Card? Our 8th Carnival cruise will be in January. Seven have been within 15 months. We are newly addicted. I think we will have 10 by December 2007. Our daughter starting kindergarten will slow things down a bit. It's harder to be a cruise addict when you have children in school. She has been on all but one cruise with us. Its funny when a five year old becomes a cruise expert. We love Camp Carnival.

Does anyone know if the Platinum benefits begin ON the 10th cruise, or after it? I'm coming up on number 10 soon .... now I just have to find a way to find my old booking numbers....that goes all the way back to 1992 (and several different travel agents ago) on the Mardis Gras, which I don't think has sailed sine 1993 or so!

It does start on your 10th cruise. The documents for your 10th cruise will tell you to proceed to VIP Check In!!!

We had 8 added from the 1980's by faxing them copies of our embarkation pictures. Good Luck!!

It starts on your 10th cruise and every cruise afterwards. Your documents should arrive and above your name you should see "Proceed to the VIP's entrance (or line) upon arrival to the the cruise terminal" I don't have my documents with me to remember if it said enterance or line. You go in the same line for security then go to the special room or table for your documentation. They placed us in a different waiting area in Tampa for embarkation and we were on the boat first. Debarkation was a joke and was handled terribly. They still have some kinks to work out on the Platinum status but it is some nice touches. Welcome to the Platinum status, you'll love it. Happy cruising.
