Or is there some other transportation you would recommend?\ Just off St. Marks Square, toward the water, you won't be able to miss all the docks for shuttles. Look for the Celebrity sign and you should be fine. If you can get the free transportation, I'd certainly go for it! It is about 50 euros for a water taxi from there to the ship. ladysail2 Posted September 7, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 7, 2006 Why not a long leisurely vaporetto ride on the Grand Canal for mere Euros? Not that I've done it :p ...but hope to this October! The vaporetto will take you back to the pier side of the city....I believe it's not too far to walk to the ship. Enjoy your cruise!
SheilaNC Posted September 7, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2006 You can certainly take the Vaporetto...however, if it's your first day or first trip to Venice and you're traveling at night, it could be rather easy to get lost on the way to the ship. No guarantee anyone who speaks English would be around to help out. The ship's shuttle is easy to find, also goes up the Canal and takes you directly to the ship. Worked very well for us
