SnorkelBear Posted September 9, 2006 Author #51 Share Posted September 9, 2006 2, Very nice thought, but that letter means so much more than that. It is a noun, a verb, an adjective, an adverb, and just about every *ing thing.
cruzincurt Posted September 10, 2006 #52 Share Posted September 10, 2006 On our last cruise on the Veendam, people were trapped on the escalator when the power went out. I'm glad to see that there is no escalator on the Zuiderdam. We Treasure Friendships?
RuthC Posted September 10, 2006 #53 Share Posted September 10, 2006 On our last cruise on the Veendam, people were trapped on the escalator when the power went out. I can relate to that. :( Hope none of them were in a rush to use the rest room.
the2ofus Posted September 10, 2006 #54 Share Posted September 10, 2006 OK, Ruth, methinks you missed your daily ration of chocolate. Or else you were distracted by chocolate while reading. Read Crusincurt again.:D
RuthC Posted September 10, 2006 #55 Share Posted September 10, 2006 No, I got it, Jane. It's just that I'm one of those people who actually could get stuck on an escalator. (Can't climb up/down stairs easily.)
michmike Posted September 10, 2006 #56 Share Posted September 10, 2006 A few yrs back I got my darlin left handed sis (who is a medical librarian in a catholic hospital) a mug that had a msg on it that was something to the effect that we are all born left handed and that we become right handed after committing our first sin.. also interesting to note that the percentage of left handed folks in prison is significantly higher than the percentage of them in the population as a whole. Maybe unresolved issues over teachers trying to convert them from writing left handed in early elementary years? then again, sinister derives from the Latin for left... right handed here.. but that sinning with susie perkins was worth it.. *L*

carlosv Posted September 14, 2006 #58 Share Posted September 14, 2006 I don't know why some people get so upset because they can't find left-handed coffee cups. The last one I bought had the openning on the bottom. You gotta be a fast drinker to make it work.
HoneyGV Posted September 15, 2006 #59 Share Posted September 15, 2006 Now I always thought they were taken off by helicopter each night and returned in the morning Did you hear about the blonde female pasenger who called the Front Office from her cabin to complain that there was no way out of her cabin. The attendant asked if she saw any doors. She said "Yes, two but one goes into the bathroom and the other has a 'Do Not Disturb' sign on it." Good one!!! ROTFLMAO!!!!
