kjg46 Posted September 10, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 10, 2006 We will be staying in Barcelona, pre-cruse. Do I need any special plugs etc to recharge my photo batteries via standard battery charger for camera? Thanks,
pooh1bear43113 Posted September 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2006 Been there several times. You will need an adaptor/converter plug as I believe the current is 220/240.....We purchased a set of converter/adaptor plugs many years ago - but now just carry the one that we need for Europe. If you do not have the converter/adaptor plug, check with the front desk at the hotel and they can most likely provide. The ship (unless it's a European cruise line) will have U.S. type electrical system - so no need for adaptor/converter plug. Never forget our first trip to UK....I had a dual voltage hair dryer, iron and curling iron. I checked into my room and was in a hurry to press my evening outfit - forgot to switch the "dual voltage" to 220/240 - left it set at 110/120 - what a POP that made! Fortunately, it didn't ruin the iron. But I played heck trying to find another little fuse for the thing (yes, there was a fuse in the plug). Always check in Europe before plugging in anything to be sure you've got the right connection. .....and have fun.
connagle Posted October 19, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 19, 2006 The hotel will lend you a adapter with a $5.00 deposit you get when you return it.
