Luggage Question

Hi everyone,

 

I recently booked my very first cruise - the Sapphire Princess from Vancouver to Whitter on June 1, 2007. The boards here have been so helpful and I'm reading as much as I can.

 

I have a question I haven't found the answer to and figured I'd ask here since my TA is out for a couple days. In researching our flights, our best option is a flight that doesn't leave until 11:30 pm the same night we arrive in Whitter. Which is perfect considering we want to do a Princess excursion kayaking Prince William Sound. Since we have transfers with Princess does that mean they will get us to the airport even so late after leaving the ship? How does that work if they do? And what about our luggage for all those hours?

 

We wondered about taking a shower, too. But I found out that through our YMCA membership, we can use the Y in Anchorage. Works out perfectly!

 

TIA for any advice you can give. I'm amazed at the knowledge of everyone on these boards and how friendly everyone is.

If you are signed up for an excursion with Princess for debarkation day then they should hold onto your luggage for you during the day as well as get you to the airport at the end of it unless it was stated right in the tour description that they would NOT. As for showers I can't say. I have taken one before simply to a hotel to spend some time in the sun before a late day flight. Princess had arranged rooms with the resort so we could shower and clean up before heading to the airport but that was also stated in the tour description.
