Baggage storage in Venice ?

Recommended Posts

Can anyone please help - we're disembarking in venice but our flights to london are only at 3;15 pm so is there somewhere at the rail station ( or else where ) where we can leave our bags for a few hours ?

Many thanks in advance

You have a couple of options but remember you probably need to be at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight so don't cut yourself so short you miss your flight.

There are "held luggage" offices at the airport, the train terminal and supposingly at the main port terminal. So you have three places where you may be able to store your luggage for a fee and let you see some of the city.

Check out this web site for good info on Venice

Here is one on the port and then one on the airport.

The trip from the port to the airport by land taxi takes at least 30 minutes or so.

If you had more time I would suggest using your cruise line transportation to the airport and then storing your luggage there and then returning to Venice by the special airport waterbus. But I suspect by the time you made the trip out and back most of the time would be gone.

Good luck in finding a good option and have a great next cruise.

Thank you so much for all that info ! I think we'll use the baggage store at the station and then head into the city for some coffee and a bite to eat , have been there before but never cruised in and out of it so never had a need for baggage storage facilities. Thanks again !
