bluefintuna Posted September 14, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 14, 2006 My dh loves to play poker; are the games limit or no limit? What are the limits (if limit) and what do they take for a house rake? Thanks for any/all information.

njdgs Posted September 15, 2006 #6 Share Posted September 15, 2006 If memory serves there is (at least) one dedicated table on the Crown Princess and I recall seeing at least one tournament listed in the Patter. Unfortunately I don't actually play the game. My DH and DS are big players, but they didn't cruise with me so I did not pay attention to limits (or lack thereof) or rake. Maybe some other past cruisers can help with this.
bulldogatl Posted September 15, 2006 #7 Share Posted September 15, 2006 Just got off 9/3 Crown. We had two tables right next to the bar in the middle of the Casino. 3/6 was the standard. We talked Cosgi the Casino manager into starting at 5/10 table each night. Had one table going til wee hours. Very competitive, know it alls at the tables .. kinda fun. We had to put together our own tourny one day .. but were told by the Casino we could use one of the tables if it was open. Hope that helps and good luck! -Lew- Posted September 16, 2006 #11 Share Posted September 16, 2006 My dh loves to play poker; are the games limit or no limit? What are the limits (if limit) and what do they take for a house rake? Thanks for any/all information. On the 9/3 sailing of the Crown, the games were all limit. First night was 2/4, then 3/6 and 5/10. There was always a 3/6 table from the second evening on with a second table at 3/6 or 5/10. The house rake was 5% or $5 max per hand. That said, it was just a guess by the dealer and would sometimes exceed 5% on pots under $100. Lew
