Athens Airport to Peiraias via bus X96 anone?

The Athens International Airport has quoted 25 Euro's for a taxi to Peiraias. Others have said 45 to 55 euro's is about right. How can there be such a difference?

According to the airport, the X96 bus is 3.2 Euro's. It takes 90 minutes. Has anyone taken that express airport bus to Peiraias? How far is the drop off from the cruise ship dock? My husband and I love taxi's but we really like the price of public transportation. We pack so that it is not that difficult to use public transportation.

We had no trouble in London, Rome, Paris, or Coppenhagen using public transportation to the airport. What about Athens?

We were in Athens for a port day and used the subway, so can't answer your question about the bus specifically .... but like you, my DH and I try to travel by public transit whenever possible.
