Cbear1973 Posted September 18, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2006 Out of curiousity, who was the comedian on your last cruise? Was it an unknown or someone relatively well heard of?
superjerryw Posted September 18, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 18, 2006 In general, performers that are "relatively well heard of" are too expensive for the cruise lines. Headliners on cruise ships are usually fairly talented, but they are in most cases unknown.
Ju1es Posted September 18, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 18, 2006 On our last cruise there was a comedian named Carl Banks. He was so funny! I think he has made appearances on a lot of tv shows but he wasn't a big name.
Clarksfan1 Posted September 18, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 18, 2006 Carl Strong was on two of our cruises. VERY VERY Funny. Each time they added an additional midnight show, and each time space was limited to standing room only. That being said he is rather well known on the comedy circuit. Janice M Posted September 18, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 18, 2006 It was'nt our last cruise, but Marty Allen was on it with his talented wife. He was even in the Windjammer one evening. Jan
EggDropErin Posted September 18, 2006 #6 Share Posted September 18, 2006 I had never heard of the one we had on Adventure. I don't recall his name either, although I think it's in my review...I didn't care for him, and he didn't get many laughs from anyone else either.
