judithdooley Posted September 18, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2006 Could somebody help me out. Is there a bus stop close to Warwick Long Bay? How far is the walk from the road to the beach and there is an access road?
lambs2 Posted September 19, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2006 Yes, the bus stops right at the access road to Warwick Long Bay. Nice walk down to the great beach! (Be sure and check out the outhouses right near the beach with the stainless steel commodes!) We actually got off the bus there and then walked down the beach, and some on a dune path, to the right, all the way to Horseshoe Bay. I believe it was a couple miles. Anyway it was FANATASTIC and in a number of the little coves along the way ours were the ONLY footprints on the beach. Now this was last November and we were on one of the last ships of the season (Voyager of the Seas). We had absolutely glorious weather and the beaches were perfect! After spending some time at Horseshoe Bay, swimming, we changed out of our wet suits and caught the bus back to our ship from there. Chose to walk up the long hill from the beach to the highway (for exercise), but there are plenty of shuttle rides available for a buck or two to the top. Budget Queen Posted September 25, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 25, 2006 I was there last week, short walk, downhill from the bus stop. Short hike UPHILL on the way back. :) Very rough surf, with no swiming recommended, farther down to the right is a little loogon area.
