La Porte Texas Priceline

We are going to be departing from the Port of Houston--not Galveston--on November 11. I hit on a 2 star (the best there is in LaPorte!) on Priceline for $40 per night for the night prior to the cruise.

Which hotel? For example, the Comfort Suites is a two star and is just fine. I would rate it more than a two. Maybe that rating because of the location.

We stayed in the Comfort suites last year before our NCL cruise and it was nice. I've been in higher star rated hotels in other cities that were much worse. $40 would be a great price. We're paying $99 in Galveston and are getting a "steal" for the 4 star hotel because we booked it 9 months ago.

Guess which hotel would be nice info to have--so sorry--Hotel is the LaQuinta. They allow free parking for the duration of the cruise, and offer a shuttle to the pier at a cost of $5 a person.

 

Priceline showed 3-2 star hotels--Comfort Suites, LaQuinta, and the Best Western. We had also stayed at the Comfort Suites before, but I was willing to take a chance on any of these three properties.

I've had family stay at the La Quinta before but it's been a few years ago. At that time it was fine.

Just drove by the La Quinta in LaPorte (about 15 minutes ago) and it looks good.

You might try Baytown,Texas it is just across the bridge from where the ship leaves from. I use to have to stay over night there on worki and was able to get the LaQuinta fo $30 a night. There is more restraunts and things to do in Baytown.

We stayed at LaQuinta in LaPorte last Dec. Booked on Priceline for around $40. It was fine. Very clean. Also had a free breakfast in the lobby. Short drive to the port.
