We are cruising on Wind Star March '07. This is our first trip to Costa Rica and first Windstar cruise. Any comments on diving excursions would be much appreciated. How is the diving off the sports platform? Thanks!

We dove with the Windstar in Costa Rica last year.

 

Michelle and Crispin were wonderful. It was very nice to hop in the zodiacs right off the back of the ship. They wash and store all the equipment. You can bring your own and store it on the back on the ship if you want.

 

The pool check-out done on the first day was fast and easy. Because our two teenagers were not certified, they participated in the Discover SCUBA program. My DH and I wanted to dive with them, so we used the program as a refresher course.

 

The certified dives went out first, then the Discover dives.
