alphakitty Posted September 21, 2006 #30 Share Posted September 21, 2006 I alway thought it was frou-frou drink (from definition #2 below)... not foo foo drink. I guess Derf showed me! LOL Main Entry: frou·frou Pronunciation: 'frü-(")frü Function: noun Etymology: French, of imitative origin 1 : a rustling especially of a woman's skirts 2 : showy or frilly ornamentation kitty
Jacqueline Posted September 21, 2006 #31 Share Posted September 21, 2006 A mily way sounds like what we used to call a white russian. It has nothing in common with a martini other than the fact that they both use Vodka.

LOL Main Entry: frou·frou Pronunciation: 'frü-(")frü Function: noun Etymology: French, of imitative origin 1 : a rustling especially of a woman's skirts 2 : showy or frilly ornamentation kitty The reason I asked was ( not lowering the tone of the conversation here), was that Foo-foo ( or fou fou) means something ENTIRELY different here, and not something I would want to put a cocktail umberella in!!! The Big banana foo-foos and the Bushwacker are very apt - and had me in stiches! carry on! BD

Fufu, also spelled foofoo, foufou, or fu fu, is a staple food of West and Central Africa from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foufou I have failed to come up with an England meaning of Foo-Foo. Can I go on?

lois1112 Posted September 22, 2006 #36 Share Posted September 22, 2006 Nothing compares to the CHOCOLATE BANANA....However my new favorite (ok...second favorite) is the ULTIMATE COOLER (grey goose vodka/ cranberry juice/ watermelon juice / passion fruit juice)
joand452 Posted September 22, 2006 #37 Share Posted September 22, 2006 My husband loved the Beverly Hills Ice Tea. A variation of the Long Island Ice Tea but made with champagne and clear liquors. For me it was the many speciality martinis in the martini bar. That's my favorite, too! Not exactly a foo-foo drink (not fruity), but delish! I had one (maybe two :D ) every night in Club Fusion during whatever game was going on. My husband likened them to rocket fuel, but he likes the foo-foo drinks (and was very happy with Screwdrivers). Hope they have them on the Crown.
Paulras Posted September 22, 2006 #38 Share Posted September 22, 2006 I really liked the Raspberry Mojito even though I normally hate regular mojitos. I also really liked the Sour Apple Daquieri - refreshing without being too sweet or too sour. The Ultimate Cooler was also pretty popular.
bickee Posted September 22, 2006 #39 Share Posted September 22, 2006 Defenitely mojito, regular and raspberry. Had my first on Princess, haven't looked back since. :D
whale-watcher Posted September 22, 2006 #40 Share Posted September 22, 2006 Snickers martini - it's like drinking liquid nutella (see other thread). Haven't tried a chocolate banana yet, however.....
mortysmama Posted September 22, 2006 #41 Share Posted September 22, 2006 Unfortunately...those wonderful choclate drinks are out of bounds for me....I'm severely allergic to chocolate. That being said...I don't know whether it was the timing (sailaway) or the drink itself but the 'Frozen Peach Daquiri' won me over hands down. My other favorite is a drink I had in Morroco in Epcot at Disney...the "Frozen Tangerine Daquiri". Just wonderful, especially when it's hot out and you're thirsty. Happy cruising!
