Century now Amsterdam not Rotterdam

It looks like the 12-day Baltic itineraries out of Amsterdam in 2007 are now leaving out of the Port of Amsterdam instead of Rotterdam (just like they did this summer). Celebrity's website no longer lists the first and last port as "Amsterdam (Rotterdam)". It simply says "Amsterdam, Holland" now.

Does anyone know where the cruise terminal in Amsterdam is located?

Edit: Never mind. I found a very useful map of Amsterdam

Hi we'll be on the june 3rd Baltic also. I didn't see any change. Is one port different from another? We're coming from Miami Fl.

We're looking for a reasonable rate hotel in Amsterd. and discussing sights

Also, talking to Denrus about a tour in Russia. We are 8 people. Do you have any suggestions for us, please. Hope we meet you onthe ship. Thanks, joani joaniks@aol.com

If that is right, it is very good news for you.

But it is not (yet?) mentioned on the 2007 sailinglist of the port of Amsterdam. (Only a sailing leaving 27 june on it).

Travel from/to Amsterdam is far more convenient as the airport is close to the city and the cruise-terminal is next to city-center. A new hotel opened at the cruise-terminal and it has good tramconenctions to town.

My family is also on the 5/17/07 Century sailing. Would we be able to now catch a 9:20 am flight from Amsterdam to New Jersey? We are currently on the 1:30 pm believing we would be traveling from Rotterdam to the Amsterdam airport. We would also need a hotel recommendation for Amsterdam. Thanks.

Here's a website for the hotel that we stayed in the last time that we were in Amsterdam,

http://www.ambassade-hotel.nl/

Wonderful hotel with a great location and outstanding service. It's about a ten minute ride from the Hotel to the Cruise Terminal.

Hope that's helpful. I would strongly recommend flying in early for your cruise if you can do it, Amsterdam is a wonderful and friendly City that is really, really interesting.

Even if you travel from Amsterdam 09.20 might be risky. It depends what time you can get off the ship, but also count the security nowdays at the airports. Most airlines want passengers to checkin 3 hrs. before departure. Schiphol airport is a very nice airport with many shops, restaurants, even a small Rijksmuseum and a casino. So waiting there is not too bad.

I have made up a list of Amsterdam hotels at various rates:

We are also on the May 17, 2007 sailing. At Ine's suggestion we have already made ressy's at the Hotel NY in Rotterdam which we will of course cancel when this change is official. This is the kind of info that keeps me coming back to CC every day. We find out things faster than the TA's!!

Ine...thanks as always for your reliable info on your city.

:) Good evening,

Stick to 1.30pm. Cruise terminal & Centraal Station are extremely close to each other....but you have to factor potential delays in debarkation before you can even get to an airport train shuttle ( VERY frequent and fast, better than cabs)....plus....the old '' 3 hour checkin '' requirements and the security issues at major airports....plus....potential ship delay in docking in the first place................All in all...1.30pm looks just right to help you finish off your Celebrity experience without any spiking in your blood pressure.

Happy sailing

Cheers

Sorry that you have to cancel Hotel NY, I really like that hotel.

I am sure you will find another Ams hotel you will like.
