It was our first cruise so had nothing to compare it to. The superior room on Splendour of the Seas was a nice size. The beds could be pushed together and you could still move around the room. Sofa/coffee table, nice but not used too often. Lots of storage space. We were very close to a stairway that went up to the spa's entry. It was rarely used by anyone and gave easy access to the indoor pool and most importantly SNACKS. There were no stairs heading down. So there was no excess traffic.

2nd cruise NCL Majesty guarantee interior. Now we had something to compare. LOL We kept the beds as twins as there would be no way to get in without climbing in from the foot of the bed. A desk chair is not a sofa, but we didn't use it much either.
