karen54 Posted September 26, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2006 Is it necessary to reserve these mats ahead of time? Last time we went it seemed not, but DD is doing Eastern on EOS on 10/6 and need to give good advice or she won't let me cruise vicariously. Nitra Posted September 26, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 26, 2006 They did run out when I was there a few years ago. I like things prepaid before I cruise, so I always reserve ahead of time.
hazeleyes35 Posted September 26, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 26, 2006 We just came back from the 9/8 EOS and we didn't have to pay for the mats as we did an excursion to Malfini Beach.
dianfarmer Posted September 26, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 26, 2006 We buy a blow up air mattress at walmart for $1.50 and take it with us. They are very flat so they don't take up any room in the suitcase. When we get off the ship in Labadee we take it with us, blow it up and use it. After we are finished with it we just leave it there. Its better then paying $10 each especiall when you have several people that want one.
GMoney Posted September 26, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 26, 2006 Generally, it is not necessary to reserve floating mats ahead of time. I never have and have always been able to get one.
Sue L Posted September 27, 2006 #6 Share Posted September 27, 2006 I will be going to Labadee for the first time on my next cruise. Are the mats necessary? Is the sand/beach area not nice that you need to float? Or are they just nice to hang out on? Sue

karen54 Posted September 27, 2006 Author #11 Share Posted September 27, 2006 Thanks for the advice..DD decided to reserve at least one mat just in case..suggested buying one to blow up..she decided her BF would probably blow up before it was fully inflated!
