Explorer Hump Rooms

We are traveling on Explorer early in 2007 :) and have booked a JS on Deck 9 that is located at the front of the Hump (9314). Has anyone stayed in this cabin? Also what is the hallway noise like since the cabin is located near the elevators? Any help would be appreciated.

I just stayed in 8328 which is a regular hump balcony not a JS. There was absolutely no noise from the elevator as the hump rooms are in a little separate hallway not adjacent to the elevators as the diagrams imply. The location was fantastic, it was just a short elevator ride or stairs to all the main areas on the ship. We loved the Explorere and would sail on her again in a heartbeat. We did the 5 day to Bermuda and it wasn't long enough. Here are some photos of the ship and cruise if you are interested.

Island ~~ On 6/30 we were on the Explorer. We stayed on deck ten...OS 1320..center hump right across from the elevators. No sounds. It was a great place to be!!!! You have a great room in 9314!!!! And as for being on the Explorer...well just look at my future cruises!! I am an Explorer groupie!!

my turn. The hump cabins are those cabins about midship that bow out and allowing you to see the front and the back of the ship from your balcony on the voyager class ships. Some say the cabins and or balconies are larger than the average. It's location location location! We are looking forward to our hump cabin on the Explorer next Sept. will let you know then:)

We stayed in 9312 on Navigator and though we usually book aft cabins for the balcony, we enjoyed this cabin very much. As already stated, the central location was very nice and there was no noise trouble at all. An added benefit (if you diamond/diamond plus) is the close proximity to the concierge lounge. We did breakfast there every morning and could pop in and out for coffee/cappucino whenver we wanted.
